Voice Lessons & Piano Lessons
Take your talent to the next level; KDawn Studios is the voice and piano studio of Kara Grover. She offers one on one tailored lessons for any age and skill level that are supported by strong theory and acute awareness of the body and mind. Kara has been singing professionally for over a decade, and has been teaching since 2016. She holds a Master of Music from Florida State University. Education is one of her many musical passions, having directed and founded multiple community music programs and hundreds of events. She has taught a variety of students from little ones, to university level, and even seniors. Kara loves to share her voice and music, and help grow that passions in others.
Beginner Voice Lessons
The beginner voice lessons focus on building fundamental skills for healthy phonation and awareness of your instrument. Students will work on discovering their unique sound while strengthening aural skills and music theory. These skills will allow you to sing better in whatever genre you find joy in singing.
Lessons range from 30-60 minutes & range from $30 -$60
College of Music Program Audition Prep
Are you focusing on becoming a professional vocalist? Whether you're auditioning for a select choir or applying for a university music program, the audition prep lessons focus on growing your repertoire and learning basic IPA as well as diction skills in English, Italian, French, and German. These lessons also focus on sight-reading and aural skills. Nurturing these critical skills are what top universities music programs will be looking for during the application and audition process. Students will also learn basic-to-intermediate vocal technique and learn how to incorporate this into their performance.
Lessons are $70 for 1 hour.
Advanced Voice Lessons
The advanced voice lessons are for the experienced singer, amateur or professional. For singers looking for a tailored plan to improve upon their knowledge, skill, technique, and performance. Whether you're looking to maintain progress or you're redefining your skills for a changing voice, the goal is to create a full and supported sound with a sustainable and reliable technique. Primary focus at this level is classical genres and/or musical theater styles.
Lessons are $75 for 1 hour.
Beginner Piano Lessons
The beginner piano lessons are typically for youth students (ages 6-18) who are looking to learn how to start playing the piano. This class is heavily focused on learning how to read music and fundamental piano skills.
